Monthly Meetings – held at Life Link, 2325 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe

NAMI-Santa Fe’s monthly educational programs are held on the second Monday of the month and feature specific topics in our newsletter.
NAMI-Santa Fe’s Board meetings are held monthly on the third Monday of the month.

Support Group Meetings - held at Life Link, 2325 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe

NAMI Connections Support Groups are lead by trained facilitators who are themselves consumers. All consumers are welcomed every Thursday, 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m.

NAMI Family and Friends support group for families, friends, and caregivers is held on the fourth Monday of the month for 90 minutes at 7:15 p.m.

NAMI Connections - held at Life Link, 2325 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe

This is a recovery support group program for people living with mental illness. Support groups offer a casual and relaxed approach to sharing the challenges and successes of coping with mental illness. Trained individuals, who are in recovery themselves, lead the groups. They understand your daily challenges and can offer you encouragement and support. All groups are confidential – you can share as much or as little personal information as you want.

Peer to Peer - held at Life Link, 2325 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe

This is a nine-week course (two hours per week) experiential education course on the topic of recovery for any person with serious mental illness who is interested in establishing and maintaining wellness. The course uses a combination of lecture, interactive exercises, and structured group processes. The course is designed to offer an opportunity for growth to any individual who experiences mental illness. Teams of three are trained to teach the courses as mentor and peer-teachers, who are themselves experienced at living well with mental illness and leading meaningful lives. It is offered free of charge.

This free 12-week education course provides the knowledge and skills family members need to cope effectively with a loved one’s mental illness. Participants will learn about diseases, treatment options, how to communicate more effectively with their loved ones, and how to take care of themselves. Family-to-Family courses are offered twice a year in Santa Fe free of charge. Call 466-1668 for information.
